Follow Me, Friend is the true story of the author's experience growing up with undiagnosed PTSD from a trauma she had no conscious memory of. Cheryl suffered for decades without knowing what was wrong, assuming she was crazy, and trying desperately to hide her symptoms to appear "normal."
