About the Author...
A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2013, Cheryl decided to make her home in the greater Lexington area of Central Kentucky's famed Bluegrass Region.
She divides her time between writing, working as a horse "mid-wife" for a major Thoroughbred farm and developing programs and training materials for equine assisted therapy.
Cheryl holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work from Western Michigan University and equine science and management degrees from Black Hawk College. She is also certified with EAGALA (The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association).
She lives with her rescued Catahoula Leopard Dog, Boedy and her horse, Farletta.
