HOW: There is no wrong way to ask. Just tell them why you want to see Farletta as a Breyer model horse. You can fill out the contact form on the Breyer website HERE or email them directly at [email protected]. Just please put "Portrait model of Farletta aka Follow Me Friend" in the subject line.
WHAT DO I SAY? If you're unsure what to say, feel free to copy/paste this:
Dear Breyer, I would love to see the American Paint Horse mare, Farletta (aka Follow Me Friend) as a Breyer portrait model. She helped her owner, Cheryl Eriksen as she battled PTSD, and severe depression & anxiety. Her story has touched many lives and helped others in their struggles with mental health issues. She gave Cheryl a voice and in turn, Cheryl is continuing to help others by sharing what Farletta taught her about life, self-love, friendship, and healing. Sincerely, (your name) Click HERE to send your message!
WHY:Perhaps Farletta's and my story has touched your life in some way. Maybe you just love how beautiful she was (I sure do), or you love the idea of having non-competition horses or differently-abled horses (Farletta was missing her right eye) represented by Breyer--the greatest maker of model horses? Through the writing of my book and telling our story, I've found a voice and a means to talk about and normalize conversations about mental health--wouldn't it be amazing to have a model horse with a message like that represented in her story and on the packaging?
This is a model I had custom made of Farletta a couple years ago. It is a Breyer mold but it has been modified (that means her Breyer model wouldn't look exactly like this) --the head and neck position would be different, but the coloring would be similar.
Thank YOU!
Your help in making this dream a reality is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
